About the project
Project Immunity was an Instagram social campaign created as a team project through our school’s Global Perspectives course in Year 9 (age 14). We chose vaccinations as a core social issue to spread awareness about, creating informative and engaging infographics aimed at socially-aware, curious teenage students. What initiated Project Immunity?
Project Immunity is based in Hong Kong: a city with adequate provision of healthcare for all, generous government subsidy and investment in the health sectors. Yet our health system has been so immaculate such that most of us take it for granted. There are many places in the world where vaccines are inaccessible and under-provided, causing a severity of health hazards that are out of citizens’ control. We hope to spread awareness through this account and reinforce our belief that everyone deserves a right to receiving adequate healthcare. (Edited Dec 11, 2019)
